Description From the series "Fujyo Ninso Toshina", Kitsuen" ("Ten Physiognomic Classifications of Women", Smoking"). A beauty holds a long pipe. She is pulling the sleeve of her kimono up over her shoulder. She has paused during her dressing to enjoy a moment of smoking.
Signature "Utamaro".
Dated Originally in Edo era. This re-carved edition was probably made in 1950s.
Publisher Re-carved edition by Adachi.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Good ... Smoke lines are embossed.
Colors Excellent ... Solid mica on the background.
Condition Excellent - very good ... Lower left margin corner creased.
