Title	Lovers behind Umbrella - Kabuki

Description	A frontispiece of a shunga album, made ca. 1798-1802, portraying Umegawa and Chubei who were famous lovers in Kabuki play. Shunga or shunga albums were almost always signed in riddles or using a pen name.
Dated	Ca. 1798-1802.
Medium/Technique	Woodblock print.
Impression	Very good ... Printed on a thin pliable paper.
Colors	Good ... some colors faded.
Condition	Very good ... Slightly soiled, a repaired pin size worm hole on the upper left corner.
