A rare early surimono type print in the form of a centerpiece of a mounted kakemono. A poem by Muroichitei Masunari. Bun'ei was a pupil of Tani Buncho, who regarded Bun'ei as one of the ten most promising pupils. He was skilled at Yamato-e. He was a samurai in the service of a feudal lord of the Tokugawa Shogunate. |
