Title Heron at Snowy Night

Description Original hand painting and the completed print. A white heron in a snowy evening. The completed print has a mountain landscape printed on the back of the presentation paper. Original painting has "gofun" applied to the feather and the snow.
They have been kept in the famous publisher in Kyoto, The Uchida, archives.
Seal Artist's seal on one print.
Dated Ca. 1930 - 40s.
Publisher Uchida.
Medium/Technique Watercolor on paper.
Colors Excellent - very good ...Gofun (white powder) on the original work.
Condition Excellent - very good ... Top edge is pasted on a presentation board. Slight foxing on one print.
Note Uchida Han is an important Japanese publishing company with branches in both Tokyo and Kyoto. Founded in 1919, the company is still in existence today as an active publisher of shin-hanga in addition to publishing re-strikes of Edo period ukiyo-e prints.
