Artist Yuzen Miyazaki died in 1758
Description Two Mandarin ducks in a snowy pond. Yuzen was a Rimpa painter buthe was much more famous for his invention of resist dyeing technique which enabled him to dye elaborate designs. His technique is still called as "Yuzen-zome" dyeing.
Signature Yuzen.
Seal Artist's seal.
Dated Original painting in Edo era. This woodblock print was made in 1924.
Publisher Nippon Gasui-sha.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent - very good.
Colors Excellent ... "Gofun" (white powder).
Condition Excellent - very good ... Top edge tipped onto the original presentation folio, explanations in English on a tissue cover of the folio. Foxing spots on the presentation folio.
