Description The Site of the Capital City of Ancient Paekche (Kudara in Japanese). This stark design of a lone survivor of the ancient culture and the vast sky was selected for the Hiratsuka Exhibition held by The Art Institute of Chicago in 1978 from Van Zelst Family Collection.
Signature "Hiratsuka Unichi" stamped in Japanese on the right margin.
Seal Artist's seal (Un).
Dated 1935.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Carved and printed by the artist.
Colors Excellent.
Condition Very good ... slight water stain on the upper area, slightly creased on the margins, slightly wavy on the left and right margins, a needle size hole on the upper margin corners, a light crease on the lower left corner.
