Artist	Unichi Hiratsuka 1895-1997
Description	A Japanese castle and the surrounding moat. On the rooftop, there is "shachihoko", a fish monster in the Japanese mytholoy. This traditional roof ornament stands upside down and is supposed to protect the building against fire.
Signature	"UN" in the lower left corner of the image.
Dated	Ca. 1950s.
Medium/Technique	Woodblock print.
Impression	Very good.
Colors	Black and white.
Condition	Very good ... paper toning, slightly soiled, woodgrain patterns from the block visible.
