Hao Boyi born 1938 |
| Description |
Hao Boyi is the master of showing the real nature of things with a minimum of forms and colors. When you look as his print oeuvre from as early as the 1970s, you will realize how the artist style changes more and more to the essential over decades and years. The art of "leaving" out is actually an old, traditional Chinese art principle. This image is a beautiful example for showing the nature of things by limiting oneself to the essential. The design is from 1988 when Chinese artists did not create prints for any art market - there was none for them. |
