Description "Edo Meisho Douke Zukushi" (List of Humorous Scenes at the Famous Places of Edo). Night picnic at Mt.Dokan watching the numerous fireflies flattering around. They are spooked by a snake from the grassy field apparently attracted by the smell of sake.
Signature Hirokage ga.
Dated 1859.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Very good ... strong woodgrains visible on the sky.
Colors Very good.
Condition Very good ... slightly soiled, slight colored water stain on the lower left, upper margin wrinkled, upper area lightly wrinkled, backed by thin paper.
