Description Beauty is rowing a boat. Meanwhile Daruma (The founder of Zen Buddhism) is trying to pluck out his beard using the water surface as a mirror.
Signature Suzuki Harunobu.
Dated Originally in Edo era. This re-carved edition was made probably in early 20th century.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent.
Colors Very good ... dark wash to simulate aged look.
Condition Very good ... light discolorations, edges slightly creased.
Note Provenance: Robert O. Muller Collection. "Made in Japan" stamped on verso.

Height Item 11.4 inches = 29.0 cm
