From the series, "Tokaido Meisho no Uchi" (The Scenic Places of Tokaido). "Rakuchu in Kyoto; Sanjo Oh-hashi". This large series by different artists and publishers was for the commemoration of shogun Tokugawa Iemochi's historic travel from Edo to Kyoto to pay respect to the emperor. Shogun procession is crossing Sanjo Oh-hashi Bridge in Kyoto. Mt.Daimonji is seen at distance. |
