Description	Poems for the New Year's greeting on surimono. Design of a Japanese letter resting on a brocade embroidery with stylized pine leaves.
Signature	Zeshin.
Seal	Artist's seal.
Dated	Ca. 1880s.
Medium/Technique	Woodblock print.
Impression	Excellent ... printed on a soft thick hosho paper.
Colors	Excellent - very good ... brass colored pigment on the pine leaves.
Condition	Very good ... two vertical folds usual for this type of surimono, several pin size worm holes some repaired, light foxing on the upper left, slightly soiled.
