Title 53 Stations of the suehiro - Hiratsuk and Oiso

Description From the series, "Suehiro Gojusan Tsugi" (Suehiro Fifty-three Stations of Tokaido). The main theme of this series is quite similar to that of "Shogun Tokaido". A long procession of a "daimyo" (feudal lord) is traveling on the Tokaido Highway. The picture designs were also contributed by different artists such as Hiroshige II, Kuniteru and Yoshitoshi showing variety of styles and view points.
The daimyo procession from Hiratsuka is passing Mt. Koraiji and arriving at Oiso. Mt. Fuji peeks at the right corner. Formatted as diptych.
Signature Yoshitoshi.
Dated 1865.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Good.
Colors Very good.
Condition Very good ... Sheets pasted together. Two worm tracks and slight creases on the middle upper area on the sky. Slightly soiled. Trimmed. Backed.
