Description Minamoto Yoritomo escapes on a small ship from Mt. Ishibashi after they were defeated by the overwhelming Heike army. Heike army general Ohniwa Kagechika (right, on horse) and others are watching him escape. Sanada Yoshitada and the Heike strong man Matano Goro Kagehisa are wrestling down the steep hill in the middle.
Signature Ichijusai Yoshikazu.
Dated 1856.

Medium/Technique Woodblock print.

Colors Very good.
Condition Good ... the middle and the left sheets pasted together, backed by thin papers, trimmed, lightly soiled. Left and Middle Sheets: the sky area soiled, a worm track (1/2 inch long) at the middle of the seam.
