Description Frontispiece illustration from a popular literary magazine similar to Bungei Kurabu, which was aimed at largely female readers in Meiji - Taisho era. Here, a court lady in Heian Period is playing "Koto". A deer is standing on a cliff on a full moon night in the left inset.
Seal Artist's seal (Eisen).
Dated Ca. 1900 - 1910s.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Good.
Colors Good ... Shomen-zuri patterns on the hair.
Condition Good ... light toning, red transfer ink stains, a vertical fold usual for kuchi-e, creased, not backed.
